BravaArte Foundation was created by students for students and has a talented officer team dedicated to addressing the gap in arts education accessibility.
Founder, CEO, and Custodian of Records
Charlotte Qian, a freshman at Johns Hopkins University, discovered the mesmerizing nature of the arts after watching Giselle at the age of three. Since then, she has performed in countless ballet productions, as well as numerous piano recitals and competitions. She has trained at various dance schools including Osipova Ballet Academy, Silicon Valley Ballet Academy, and the Joffrey Ballet School in New York City. She also placed 3rd in the BAMA International Music Competition and completed the MTAC Advanced Level Certificate of Merit.
Aside from the arts, she also enjoys participating in competitive business events. As a member of her school's Distributive Education Clubs of America (DECA) Competition Team, she participated in myriad conferences and placed 2nd internationally in Business Growth plan at the International Career Development Conference (ICDC) in 2025, 1st in Business Growth Plan at the Silicon Valley Career Development Conference (SVCDC) in 2024, 4th in Business Growth Plan at the California State Career Development Conference (SCDC) in 2024, 1st in Principles of Business Management (PBM) at SCDC in 2023, 2nd in PBM at SVCDC in 2023, qualified for ICDC 2023 in Orlando, FL, and qualified for ICDC 2024 in Anaheim, CA.
In her free time, Charlotte enjoys participating in club events at school, reporting for journalism, and practicing golf.
Chief Operations Officer
Yiyang Zheng, a freshman at Georgia Institute of Technology, has been partisan to the arts since an early age and has been invested in piano competitively since the age of four. A notable competition she participated in is the Xinghai Cup.
Other than the arts, Yiyang has experience in leadership: she is the co-leader of Polar Business Club at her school and attended Barnard College’s Young Women’s Leadership Program in the summer of 2023. She is also well-versed in economics and received the Team Silver & Top Scoring Individual title in the Adam Smith Division of the National Economics Challenge.
Outside of the arts, she enjoys playing badminton, reading, and writing.
Director of Performing Arts
Zoey Jeong is a senior at Marina High School and has played music for 11 years. She began her studies in music in first grade with the piano. After discovering her passion for the arts, she continued to cultivate her musical abilities by beginning violin lessons in fourth grade, later prompting her to audition for and join a youth orchestra. Since then, Zoey has performed in various settings and plays violin in her high school’s orchestra and vibraphone in the jazz program.
Beyond performing, Zoey is passionate about volunteering, making a difference on world issues and using her various leadership experiences to contriube to her community.
When she's not practicing or performing, she likes to read, scrapbook, crochet, and listen to music.
Director of Southern California
Emily Bui, a junior at Moorpark High School, has been involved with music since she was three. Although she started with piano, she picked up guitar in elementary school and eventually learned cello during middle school.
She has played in multiple jazz and classical ensembles, including those at her school. She has also been a part of the CSUN Youth Orchestras and played at the Walt Disney Concert Hall. She has also performed at Carnegie Hall with the Honors Performance Series.
Aside from music, Emily enjoys painting and has experimented with multiple different mediums, including oil, watercolor, and collages. She has also won multiple county art fairs.
Director of Northern California
Xiwen Liang, a senior at Henry M. Gunn High School, has been passionate about the flute since second grade. Over the years, Xiwen has performed with the school’s Wind Ensemble and Symphony Orchestra, and has been selected for all four years of the California All-State Bands since 2022. In 2023, she played piccolo with the CODA Honors Symphony Orchestra, and in 2024, was chosen as a soloist for the California Youth Orchestra (CYS) Wind Symphony. In 2025, She earned the Gold Award at the CMEA State Solo Competition.
Outside of music, Xiwen is passionate about medicine and global health. She is the co-founder of the Medicine Without Borders Club and the founder of Scholar Polis, a platform for local youth engagement on global health issues and human welfare.
In free time, Xiwen enjoys playing badminton, reading, and drawing.
